Environment
The most sustainable peripheral is the one you do not have to replace.
Rechargeable by default.
Wireless products in the range run on built-in rechargeable batteries rather than disposable cells. That removes a consumable from the product's life and keeps the device sealed against dust and spills.
Built for a long service life.
Switches are rated in millions of actuations and bodies are built from ABS plastic that holds its shape over years of use. Long service life is the single largest lever a peripheral maker has over its footprint.
- Wireless products are paired to more than one device, so one keyboard can serve a desk and a laptop instead of two purchases.
- Firmware and configuration software are maintained across the current lineup through MeetOpt.
Packaging.
Packaging is sized to the product and kept to the minimum that protects it in transit. Boxes are plain board with printed documentation rather than a plastic window or a moulded tray.
Disposal.
Peripherals contain electronics and a lithium battery, so they do not belong in household waste. When a product reaches the end of its life, take it to a local collection point for electrical and electronic equipment.
